Cubs

Cubs is the second Section in the Scouting family after Beavers and before Scouts. A Cub is typically 8-10.5 years old.

A group of Cubs is known as a ‘Pack’. The leader of the Cub pack is known as Akela. Within the Pack Cubs are split into groups called ‘Sixes’ (Typically formed of six Cubs) In each Six there will be a ‘Sixer’, who is in charge of the Six and a ‘Seconder’, who assists the Sixer in leading the Six.

The Cub Pack structure and leader names are based around the Jungle Book and each Leader adopts a character name when they join Scouting.
